Signs of Hearing Loss

Increase in noise pollution levels have made us prone to hard of hearing, but sometimes this can also be the case that you are showing signs of hearing loss and you may still be unaware you may be getting deaf slowly. There are many people that show the early warnings yet they and the people around them don't really know that they are turning deaf. For most people around the world hearing loss is so gradual that it becomes almost impossible to trace.

There are a few signs of hear loss that would definitely be of help in order to let you know whether you are becoming prone to hearing loss or not. These signs should be treated well on time and the deafness must be cured. Some of signs of hearing loss are:

• The first sign of hearing loss can be a person who faces difficulty in hearing normal conversations especially if the person is exposed to high background noise, if there is a loud background noise around and someone faces difficulty in hearing then this can be termed as a sign of hear loss.
• While talking to someone if the person asks you to repeat what you said, he or she may be showing a sign of hearing loss.
• If anyone repeatedly misunderstands what you say (not misinterpret) then you can say that the person is showing a sign of hearing loss.
• If anyone has difficulty in talking to the phone then he or she should be careful as this is also a sign of hearing loss.
• If anyone listens to TV and music at a relatively higher volume than other persons then he or she can also be turning deaf.
• If someone faces difficulty in hearing natural sounds like the sounds of birds chirping then you can say that this person is also showing some signs of hearing loss.
• You can expect yourself being an example of hearing loss if you stay exposed to loud noise levels throughout the day as this increases the noise pollution hence it can affect you to a tremendous extent.
• If you have family history of hearing loss and you are also facing slight problem in hearing then this can also be a sign of hearing loss.
