Hearing Loss Prevention
One disease that is odorless painless and even invisible is hearing loss. The effect of hearing loss may not be physical, but it is a psychological pain and mental stress. There are three major types of hearing loss, mixed hearing loss, conductive hearing loss and sensorineular hearing loss. These are differentiated due to the degree of your hearing loss; they are categorized as severe loss, moderate loss and profound loss.

Hearing loss prevention among children: In children sometimes new born babies are born with hearing disorders, these disorders are due to the prenatal problems. While the baby is in mother's womb there might be problems, these problems may be due to any diseases from the mother. A high presence of bilirubin in the body can be harmful for the baby. New born babies should undergo proper checkup when they are born and proper treatment must be given to prevent hearing loss. There are screening test conducted when the child is born, this is the initial ear checkup and most important test when a child is born.
Generally these test are done everywhere almost in every hospital and are the first step to detect any complication at an initial stage. Apart from new born babies the hearing disorders can occur at any age, children should be constantly monitored for their hearing capacity and should be given proper treatment.
Hearing loss prevention in young adults: The noises around us gets louder day by day, the increased sound is affecting people who go out to work. Adults who mostly work in noisy places should make themselves aware of the causes which produce noise and in fact try and avoid them. Wearing noise reduction ear plugs can control unwanted noise that surrounds you. Adults can follow other basic hearing loss prevention tips such as listening music at a low volume, talk at a low pitch and reduce the other causes that produce noise.
Hearing loss prevention in older people: Presbycusis and tinnitus are the two common hearing problems that are found in older people, they need loud sound if anyone wish to converse. These problems occur as a sideffect of the overdose antibiotics. People after a certain age should go for regular checkups. Regular checkups is the main hearing loss prevention tip, so opt for a timely checkup and take care of your ears.
